"For those of you who don't already know, there has been a strike scheduled for Friday, March 21st, 2008, during which we hope to have many members of LiveJournal provide LJ with absolutely no content for twenty-four hours. This means no posting and no commenting. If you post elsewhere and have it set up to be posted through a feed on LiveJournal, don't do it. Stay away from LiveJournal for twenty-four hours. That can't be too hard, can it? I know some of you are probably quite active on LiveJournal and will find it hard to stay away for an entire day, just as I will, but this is something that needs to be done, to show the people running LiveJournal that we're watching the changes they are making, that we're paying attention, that we're discontent, and that we want to be heard and taken in to consideration. We are not simply users who can be tossed to the side and ignored. We are the people who make up LiveJournal. Without us, without the content we create, without our words, our voices, our creativity, our participation, there would be no LiveJournal. This is a fact, and it needs to be realized and understood and then taken in to consideration when making decisions regarding the way that LiveJournal is run. The strike is only a few days away, so there isn't all too much time to prepare. While this is unfortunate, it isn't enough to keep this strike from taking place. It will take place, the second it is meant to, and it would be best to have as many people take part as possible. Please, spread the word. Spread it fast. There are only a few days to organize this. If you find that you care about LiveJournal or care about the people you interact with on LiveJournal or simply want it to remain a place where you can entertain yourself without constant censorship and money-hungry practices being thrown in without the consideration of those who use the service, act now. If you don't wish to spread the word, that is fine, but please: refrain from using LiveJournal on Friday, March 21st. Do something else for a change. It's for a good cause. (:
For background on this strike and why it is being held, please read the following posts:
To find out exactly when the strike begins and ends, depending on where you are located, please see this:
What's this about?
* It's about free and ad-free LiveJournal accounts being abolished for new members, ignoring the advice from the newly-formed Advisory Board.
* It's about LJ staff trying to sneak this decision in under the radar, and when people found out, telling the users it was done 'to make the signup process less confusing'.
* It's about LJ staff failing to apologize for trying to hide the facts from view and for lying about the actual reasons for their actions.
* And finally, it's about the latest decision to hide certain user interests from the list of Most Popular Interests, some of them being fanfiction, bisexuality, sex and depression. This decision was not announced or explained in any way. Users found out for themselves.
If you agree with this please re-post far and wide"
Added to this, are the words of SUP (the new owners of LJ) CEO : Антон Носик (Anton Nosik)
From this link
"In this situation, where they attempt to blackmail and to intimidate us, threatening to destroy our business, there is a business-reason not to reward this behavior. This is not the simple reaction of being more resistant the more pressure is applied. The fact is that through history no successful enterprise runs by being subjugated by unfriendly forces. No change, even the most correct one, will not experience some resistance.
It would probably be best to reconsider the recent changes. But from our point of view it is now necessary to wait until after the boycott has faded. Let it pass and have the voices of protest fade. Then we can consider changing this policy."
apparently the loyal livejournal userbase is now nothing more than a collection of "unfriendly forces"
in that case, i wonder if we can keep this content strike going for the entire week?

We had a wonderful time together in Chicago, we confirmed that our love was as real there as it has been anywhere. I promise to care for her and love her for all her life.
I went with no expectations, only hopes and a lot of love. We are so very cute together that hearts almost literally float and pop above our heads. We giggled and laughed and savored every moment together.
marcyleecorgan is my one true love. I have waited most of my adult life to find the one woman I would ask to marry me. Of all the men she could have said yes to, she said YES to me :) There are no words to adequately express my pleasure for this privilege and honor.
We have made plans for a life together here in Canada, where the laws, economics and health care system are more favorable for us. We will post more information as we have it, I am only posting these comments because after speaking she has told me it is alright for me to speak for us :)
I believe in an equal, loving relationship where both partners care for each other and help each other grow. I think this will serve us well now and in the future. I certainly welcome your thoughts and comments in support of our love

I am a Wood Tiger (March 29, 1974)
Not sure I agree with the rage part, if it's there it's deeply buried, and playboy?...LOL
Tiger people are sympathetic, kind, emotional, and sensitive. At movies, they can cry their eyes out! Despite their kindness, they can be extremely short-tempered. The rage of Tigers is terrible to behold but it also gives them the adrenaline needed for the sublimest of bravery. The Tiger is also a deep thinker and can make the most astonishing intellectual connections, with great mental agility. On the negative side, they tend to be suspicious and a bit self-centered, OK selfish, and indecisive. Above everything, however, the Tiger stands as a supreme emblem of protection over human life, admirable always.
Look no further than the Wood Tiger for true friendship. This compassionate human being is always ready to lend his or her shoulder for friends to lean on. Friends show a reciprocal spirit. When the Wood Tiger needs it, friendship and support are always there and indirectly help the Tiger's successful ascent up the career ladder. Once there, this Tiger experiences such prosperity, it's almost like winning the lottery, except it's earned good fortune. Wood Tigers are very creative in finding ways to make life exciting, never lacking inspiration to change what can be changed and to forge ahead with native wit and charm. When it comes to Love, the male Wood Tiger has to fight his fantasy of becoming a playboy. When he experiences that familiar lust-in-his-heart tickle, he has to give in instead to his ingrained gentility. When it's time for a Wood Tiger to marry, he nearly always attracts a very beautiful wife. Also gentle, the female Wood Tiger is very generous with love and kisses and is always good to her husband. Wood Tigers in general have a very fulfilling and happy family life, with no regrets.

Ok...that wasnt fun
At least I live in Canada and am only 5-10 min from the hospital....
Sooooo what happened. Much fun.
I was at a client's and they wanted to be kind. They insisted I eat several slices of pizza not knowing I have basically eaten nothign for the last few days. I thinking I could somehow stomach it did. Yeah. That's why Io felt Ill.
However, after my last post I suddenly had to vomit...yeah...and in the process something really hurt and I was puking a bit of blood too...so I got really scared and asked my friend (a neighbour) to drive me to the hospital as I was having trouble staying focused (I dont deal well with seeing blood especially my own)
Thankfully it wasnt busy and I was able to see a doctor fairly quick. Apparently I have torn my esophagus, or so the doctor things. I have an Endoscopy I have to go back for in the morning.
I am told it ia probably not serious and I prolly acted when I should have but they gave me a shot that is making me feel real weird so I am going to bed soon.
Those of you worrying about me. Thank you. I love you, please keep in mind I have made it out of much worse :P
I am a tough enough cookie even if I dont deal well wioth stress :)
I will let you all know what they say tommorow

I have felt really kinda sick for most of the afternoon and still feeling stressed.
Actually I have been sorta sick for days, just today is real bad
My stomach is really hurting and cramped, so I will prolly take some pain killers and try and lie down.
Otherwise I should proly go to the hospital T_T
But I hate hospitals and then I can't talk with the people I love online
I have taken care of the most important stuff, so if I have to go I can
so if you don't see me for a bit at least you will know why
